Do we have the right to put animals in enclosures (for our viewing pleasure)?
Is a zoo or aquarium the best way to ensure species survival?
These are questions we might ask.
Audobon Zoo and Aquarium (and park) are some of the best of their kind in the U.S. They do and have done many positive things; rehabilitating and providing ongoing care for injured animals, as examples.
If we accept traditional methods as our measure, we also accept they might wish to fund their programs by charging admission to a viewing public.
I could not help but notice that some animals seemed less than happy, however.
